The Belle-isle-en-Terre region lies at the heart of a forested area simply overflowing with paths and tracks for hikers, horse-riding and mountain bikers. In addition, its two rivers – the Guic and the Leguer – are highly prized by trout and salmon anglers. Nature-lovers will be totally won over by its landscape, characterised by its hills, hedges and woods : the perfect place to be re-vitalised! The two rural centres – the Regional River Initiation Centre and the Forest Centre - will enable you to become better acquainted with the plant and wildlife populating the various areas such as the river, the forest and the countryside, by means of all-age Nature walks organised throughout the year.
In addition, since July 2007, the Valley of the Paper Mills, an important monument to Belle-isle’s past, has been opened to the public. Come and discover more about it through our organised walks and \ or musical and theatrical events….(to know more)
