Set between Menez-Bre and Menez-Hoguene, Louargat boasts an historical heritage that goes back to the mists of time, such as the Pergat standing-stone (one of the largest in Europe), the St Michel Gallic stele which dates from the Iron Age, that of Crech-Even with its holes, several remnants of the Roman occupation, two churches with their fountains : Louargat and St Eloi, 5 chapels : Christ, St Jean, St Paul, St Sylvestre and St Marguerite; the Cleuziou manor-house and hotel with its St Marguerite chapel, the Largez manor where Raoul lived (comrade-in-arms to William the Conqueror at the time of the invasion of England in 1066).
