During the summer, and at set times during the rest of the year, the region’s two Nature Centres , the Forest & Countryside Centre and the Regional River Centre, organise countryside discovery walks where the public can become aware of the various eco-systems, long-term development, wildlife and plant-life, tales, less well-known parts of the region’s heritage, modern day as well as bygone trades…
These walks are open to everyone, young and old. They usually take place during the afternoon or evening (bat discovery walk). They are led by qualified staff members who are always willing to answer your questions.
